Gaelic Football:

Our footballers have teamed up with players from Mount Hanover School to take part in the Corn Cois Farraige. We played our first match at the end of January against Ardcath. It was a tough game and we were defeated by a wide margin.

Round 2 was a different story. We went away and worked hard on the errors made in our first match. Our opponents were St. Mary’s of Donore and it was one of the most exciting games of football I have ever witnessed. Some great football was played by both sides. Bellewstown/Mounthavover won by a single point. Well done to all!

The first round of the Fingal League is on Monday 26th February. This is a home game and throw-in is at 3.45.

Training continues every Tuesday after school. Thanks to all of the players who turn up for training each week, in all types of weather! Thanks also to Christopher McHugh and John Leonard who volunteer each week to train the children. We are very grateful for all of the effort you put in to helping the children develop their sporting skills.

Swimming will run for 6 weeks weeks this term. Our final lesson will be Friday 2nd March.

Athletics begins Tuesday 6th March 2018.

Duleek Bellewstown GFC:

We have had coaches from our local Gaelic Club in school coaching the children from the infant room right up to sixth class. We have been so lucky with the weather these last few weeks which definitely helped – the children have had a great time improving their skills and learning some new games in the process! Well done lads!
